Role: Data Scientist – Arabic speaker

Location: Abu Dhabi

Experience: 8-10 years

A Multinational IT Services Organisation is looking for a Data Scientist to support their customers’ end-customer project requirements. Arabic speaking is mandatory for this position.

• Strong NLP skills to gather insights out of unstructured text in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to handle large volumes of semi-structured data
• Deep understanding of text representation techniques and word embeddings.
• Topic modelling using Linear discriminant analysis (LDA). Removing stopwords and punctuation marks, Stemming & Lemmatization
• Build models and tools using technical knowledge in Machine Learning (ML), statistical modelling, probability and decision theory, and other quantitative techniques.
• Innovate by adapting to new modelling techniques and procedures.
• Utilizing SQL and Python code to analyse data and building statistical models to solve specific business problems
• Improve upon existing methodologies – developing new data sources, testing model enhancements
• Collaborate with software engineers and business executives to define requirements and provide analytical insights
• Strong communication with business customers and leadership team with various levels of technical knowledge , as well as sharing insights and recommendations
• Deploy the built ML models in production

Good to have skills:

Strong data scripting languages, such as (e.g SQL, R etc.) and statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or MATLAB) is preferred.
