Responsibilities
- Analyzing the effects of treatment, environmental conditions and other factors in healthcare
- Performing research and setting statistical parameters for a research study in the healthcare field
- Work on healthcare-related topics to analyze statistical data
- Calculate sample size requirements for clinical studies
- Analyzing clinical or survey data using statistical approaches such as longitudinal analysis, mixed effect modeling, logistic regression analysis and model building techniques
- Assess drug treatment in clinical trials
- Design, manage, analyze and implement targeted statistical studies in healthcare research
- Develop mathematical models to track changes in a biological phenomena
- Review data of populations exposed to conditions to understand the risks and effects
- Provide biostatistical consultation to clients or colleagues
- Aid in research protocols/proposals and recommend an appropriate statistical analysis plan for submission to external bodies
- Prepare statistical data for inclusion in reports, papers for publications
- Determine project plans, timelines for statistical aspects of a research study
- Write program codes to analyze data using statistical analysis software
- Create analysis plans and procedures for research studies
- Design surveys to assess health issues
- Design and maintain databases for biological data
- Develop or implement data analysis algorithms
Working Experience
- Excellent working knowledge of different statistical software i.e., SAS
- Knowledge of different statistical theories
- Understanding of data management principles for clinical trials and medical research
- Applied knowledge of advanced statistical methods
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills
- Excellent decision making and organizational skills
- Good time management skills
- Excellent team working and coordination skills
- Strong computer background
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work well and flexible
ICH-GCP certification preferred
