ACADEMIC COORDINATOR – Duties & Responsibilities-Intermediate between parents and teachers.-Serve as the primary point of contact for all academic matters pertaining to students.-Monitor student progress and performance, intervening when necessary to ensure success.-Work with faculty to develop and revise curriculum, ensuring that it meets the needs of the students.-Serve on committees related to academic affairs, providing input on behalf of the students.-Advise students on course selection, degree requirements, and other academic matters.-Assist in the development and implementation of academic support programs.-Coordinate scheduling of classes, including classroom assignments and instructor assignments.-Maintain accurate records of student enrollment and performance.-Develop and implement policies and procedures related to academic matters-Serve as a resource to faculty on matters related to student learning and success-Perform other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Qualifications :-Bachelor’s degree in education or in information technology.-2-3 years experience working in higher education, academic advising, or student services.-Ability to work independently and as part of a team-Strong interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Skills and Qualifications :-Experience with student information systems and databases-Familiarity with federal and state regulations affecting higher education-Knowledge of best practices in academic advising and student support servicesProfessional Skills and Experience-Applicants should be able to demonstrate recent and relevant knowledge and experience of: Curriculum development and planning Assessment Practices Development Plans for teaching techniques Personal Skills and AttributesApplicants should be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment and professionalism.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be able to create and maintain effective partnerships with staff, parents, students.Be able to work independently and on own initiative.Seek advice and support when necessary.Have good time management skills and an ability to plan and prioritize work and tasks for you and your phase team.Maintain a personal commitment to professional development linked to the competencies necessary to deliver the requirements of this post.Be approachable, positive, flexible and enthusiastic with a good sense of humorJob Type: Full-timePay: AED 4000 per month
