OVERVIEW

The job objective to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross functional team that’s

responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Back end

developer, you should create, code, and improve the server side applications, and databases that, when

combined with front end codes, help create a functional, seamless experience for the end user. And you

should be comfortable around back end coding languages, development frameworks and third party

libraries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.

• Design server-side architecture.

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications that meet business requirements.

• Write effective APIs.

• Design and implement the integration processes with external systems. * Define the integration and dataflow architecture and evaluate vendors’ web services and API capabilities.

• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.

• Create security and data protection settings.

• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience. * Cooperate with the support teams to resolve production incidents and proactively seek opportunities to develop preventative measures to avoid recurrence. * Ensure technical standards and architectural best practices are maintained.

• Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.

• Write technical documentation.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Strong understanding in areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Database Design, UML etc.

• Professional software development experience in Java SE, JEE, Spring Boot, Web services.

• Strong experience working with web services generating and consuming SOAP and REST services.

• Good Knowledge in SOA architecture and micro services architecture.

• Experience in developing business processes workflows with any of BPM engines like (Oracle BPM) is a plus.

• Working experience in architecting Java applications.

• Experience with SQL database technologies – Oracle Database, MySQL etc.

• Familiar with application servers (Weblogic, Tomcat) and deployment process.

• Experience with Git, Bit Bucket resource control.

• Working knowledge on Linux Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Software Engineering degree or related field

• DevOps Engineer Certification (Optional)

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relative field.

• 5+ years of experience in similar role.

• A great communicator.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• High attention to details.

• Good analytical thinking.

• Team Player and decision maker.

• Design the technical architecture and prepare technical design specifications to meet the business requirements.

• Provide technical consultancy to the development team on business and technical requirements, roadblock issues.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and devise solution for performance optimization.

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing web applications using Java technologies and frameworks.

• Strong debugging skills.

• Strong collaboration skills.

• Familiar with agile development life-cycle (stand-up meetings, retrospectives, sprints, Kanban boards, etc.)

• Advanced communication & relationship management skills

• Arabic and English Language essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: AED10,000.00 – AED15,000.00 per month
