• Provide inputs and participate during the HAZID Study or Workshop for Gas-fueled vessel.
• Coordinate Client, Commercial, Project Managers and other parties involve in the project to establish and implement HSE Plan / Bridging Agreement for gas fueled vessels.
• Check, verify & confirm certificates, procedures, and conformity to required standard on critical equipment in classified hazardous zone areas onboard are being complied with in gas-fueled vessels.
• Physically verify the following requirements in “Technical Guidelines for Vessel Acceptance for Gas-Fueled Vessels” as declared and signed by Chief Engineer in the Vessel Cargo Declaration

1. Fuel tank (LNG or LPG) integrity

2. Classified hazardous zone areas as specified in Hazardous zone area plan

3. Gas detection system

4. Fixed fire detection and fire alarm systems

5. Thermal-relief valve (TRV) on gas fuel piping system

6. Ventilation of rooms with installed gas equipment onboard

7. Electrical equipment, devices or tools installed and used in the classified hazardous areas

• Coordinate with Training Development & Performance Management (TD& PM) to develop and conduct training awareness presentation related to information of the LNG or the LPG fuel system, the fuel tank construction & design, the relevant Codes requirements and the sample of Project HSE Plan in liaison with Client.
• Supervise and work closely with Safety Inspectors handling gas-fueled vessels for clear and precise decision making especially on the PTW and implementation of the project HSE Plan onboard.
• Coordinate Production Control, Safety & Fire Department, Client and DDW-D Project Team for any hazardous condition (e.g. Change in tank gas atmosphere condition, occurred during vessel’s stay inside DDW-D.
• Responsible to notify the regulators – UAE Federal Transport Authority Land & Maritime (FTA), vessel flag state and etc

Qualification: Must be Bio Technology – Process chemical engineering.

Experience: minimum- 3 years in LNG plants/LNG propelled vessels.
