We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services UAE for a:
Specialist Senior Engineer (EOT cranes)
Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity to be responsible for inspection, maintenance/repair of electro-mechanical and structural components of EOT cranes, load testing and certification.
Your main duties will be to: –
Supervising Inspection and statutory requirements for EOT cranes, Semi-goliath/goliath cranes, Monorail hoists, Electric hoists.
Supervising Preventive Maintenance / Corrective Maintenance procedures for cranes.
Supervising troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance activities and formulate necessary procedure.
Supervising load testing and certifications procedure in line with local/international requirements.
Carry out Functional test to meet the standards / requirements.
Supervising overhead cranes repairing & maintaining crane equipment.
Supervising troubleshooting of defective parts and replacing the defective parts.
Supervising contractors’ technicians diagnose problems by operating the machines or inspecting the equipment with the help of computerized testing tools, calibration appliances, and micrometers.
Track crane maintenance by writing technical reports.
Make sure that contractors Technicians are mindful of safety procedures because the job often entails lifting heavy parts and working hands-on with greasy equipment.
Supervising contractor’s teams in breakdown/troubleshooting and suggest immediately about the action taken.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
Liaison with the certified inspector to ensure all the cranes are timely inspected and certified.
Maintain the records of all reactive and preventive maintenances of the cranes.
Maintain the inspection tracker and update from time to time and to ensure all cranes are inspected.
Suggesting improved methods and techniques to maintain and increase cranes performance and extend its lifetime span.
Record service details on the history card.
Come with any good suggestions / recommendation, which will be add value the company.
Should be able to plan, allocate and monitor manpower and resources with respect to all EOT crane and mobile crane work.
Should be well versed with carrying our risk assessment related to crane.
Organize, manage, and complete activities related to crane individually and in teamwork.
Should be able to cooperate with all levels of staff.
Ability to multi-task while completing work in a competent and professional manner.
Handle confidential information
Ideally you will have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 10 years’ experience proven field experience in inspection, maintenance/repair of electro-mechanical and structural components of EOT cranes, load testing and certification.
You are fluent in English.
You will possess valid certification as per relevant standards / local requirements and have past experience in power station / plant.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 10 years’ experience proven field experience in inspection, maintenance/repair of electro-mechanical and structural components of EOT cranes, load testing and certification.
You are fluent in English.
