We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC for a:

Electrical Supervisor.

Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity for you to work on DEWA Substations Projects and be responsible for Supervising the departmental / contracts site works of 11 kV, and 33kV Substation installation & Commissioning in order to ensure quality & Safety and timely completion of Projects

Your main duties will be to:-

• Supervise the departmental / contracts site works of 11 kV, 33KV Substation installation & Commissioning in order to ensure quality & Safety and timely completion of Projects
• Check, Test equipment, and record test results of 11kV & 33KV SS equipment before/after equipment rigging & Installation, based on procedures & work instructions, in order to ensure DEWA quality standards and maintain records
• Collect work permit from SOD, attend outages for substation equipment installation, uprating, modification & system voltage conversion, as applicable, as per procedures in order to complete the substation commissioning works.
• Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the Authority, during or after employment in DEWA.
• Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA’s safety standards.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
• Receive new job orders from the planning section and allot them to contractors.
• Study the CAR with ring diagram & to understand NOC drawings
• Prepare Weekly and daily plans for cable laying & excavation target
• Provide necessary NOCs and all related documents to the contractor. Ensure closure of job orders on the SAP system.
• Ensure that materials are reconciliations. Manpower/vehicle time sheets and necessary updates to complete. Certification of the invoice submitted by contractors.
• Arrange coordination meetings with contractors for weekly cable laying progress planning as per contractual targets and other related issues. Monitor the progress on daily basis to achieve the weekly target.
• Coordination with roads & Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, developer, and other agencies to resolve the site issues. Attend and Coordinate with internal DEWA departments and sections to ensure the smooth completion of the job.
• Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the authority, during or after employment in DEWA..
• Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA’s safety standards.
• Manage issue and return of material from DEWA stores to contractors. Verification/inspection of materials reconciliation on monthly bases and forward material reconciliation/store checking report to section/Department head.

Ideally, you will have graduated in Electrical Engineering with a minimum experience of 3 years in HV Cable Laying works, Underground utilities, and infrastructure works for substations.

You are fluent in English

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
