Job Purpose : Provide petroleum and production engineering input for the execution of well completion, workover, intervention, stimulation, production monitoring, allocation and optimization, data acquisition and other activities designed to safely and efficiently meet field production targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze well and production system performance based on comparing predicted versus actual production rates, water cuts, gas-oil ratios (GORs) and pressures at various points in the system. Use this comparison to identify possible operating problems or system bottlenecks.

• Record the production data and prepare the back allocation for each well, battery and station.

• Maintain the production database updated to date.

• Perform medium and long term decline analysis and forecasting.

• Work with production operations staff to implement a program of fluid sampling, production tests, pressure tests, production logging and other surveillance activities designed to understand and control well performance.

• Gather, quality control and maintain accurate data related to respective discipline and follow corporate guidelines for short- and long-term storage and retrieval of company data.

• Monitor chemical treatment programs and evaluate their effectiveness in mitigating such problems as scale formation, asphaltene and paraffin deposition, corrosion, emulsions and sour gas contamination.

• Conduct technical evaluations of surface and downhole equipment and suppliers, considering field service capacity, quality control and service availability

• Propose and monitor performance of future artificial lift installations and identify deviations from optimal production behavior. Troubleshoot operating problems and recommend corrective action as needed.

• Gather, record and analyze laboratory data.

• Provide daily/monthly/quarterly reports to management.

• Provide reports to management on completion and production enhancement options and recommended strategies for optimizing production performance.

• Performs other duties related to the Company needs as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications –

o Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering.

o At least 10 years of experience with an international E&P operator.

o Flexibility to travel frequently to Iraq on Rotation based role.

o Experience with Upstream Oil & Gas within Well Surveillance, Production Logging , Well Testing, Pump assisted artificial lift & Perforating is required.
