Our client is a bean-to-cup – Brewed for Togetherness – Coffee Solution Company. Their value brand is fostered and geared towards those who thrive on fresh and affordable coffee on the go. Their stores are positioned on the back of a rickshaw, with well-trained live baristas to serve freshly brewed gourmet coffee and freshly baked tasty treats.
Currently, they are operating 6 stores in different part of Dubai and plan to expand more in months to come. They have head office at Business Bay, Sol Bay building.
The Job
Our client is looking for talented and ambitious Finance Manager to join them in their journey to deliver exquisite coffee experience at affordable price for coffee lover. They want professional having passion for serving customer with their preferred coffee solution and ensure their Morning Excitement. The main purpose of the job is to plan, organize, lead, and execute all Finance & Accounting activities in line with the international and local laws and to protect the company’s financial and non-financial assets and resources.
Your responsibilities will include:
To set up and maintain a system of internal controls which will provide the most effective control of the assets and revenue of the company.
To maintain all accounting records in the manner prescribed by the company policy. Similarly, all reports and financial statements must be prepared on a timely basis in accordance with the company policy.
Use the Odoo ERP system to properly manage and execute all company accounting activities.
To ensure that all laws and fiscal regulations of the country of location (which affect the financial matters of the company) are complied with. This includes the responsibility for seeing that proper permits and licenses are obtained for such areas as importations, currency transfers, operation of the business etc.
To ensure the safekeeping and updating of all leases and contracts and all other legal records and documents which may affect the financial status of the business.
To ensure that local tax matters, including both income and other taxes, are properly handled. This includes the responsibility for the proper deductions and remittances of all payroll taxes where applicable.
To approve all cash disbursements. Before denoting approval, the Finance Manager should ensure that all disbursements are properly documented and executed.
To approve all allowances and adjustments and ensure that they are subsequently approved by the CEO.
To conduct the monthly physical count and valuation of all products and operating supplies inventories and the valuation of all operating equipment inventories.
To ensure that, subject to the availability of funds, all necessary reserves, such as vacation of staffs, furniture and equipment, staff’s indemnity, etc. are adequately maintained.
To assist in preparing, in conjunction with the other department heads and the CEO, both the annual and revised capital budget and profit budget in the format required by the company. In addition to the preparation, the Finance Manager is responsible for reporting the actual results as compared with the profit budget.
To ensure the administration of established credit and collection policies and regulations.
To administer and control the company’s assets.
To train and develop the team members to handle multiple tasks.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field
Proven 6 years of experience in Finance/Accounting in coffee/food and beverage/ industry.
Proven experience in Odoo or other ERP accounting software.
Excellent IT skills, MS Office applications
Strategic thinker – proven ability to translate strategic plans into action.
Decisive with excellent judgement
Excellent interpersonal skills – builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English to be able to liaise effectively to different stakeholders across the region.
Able to plan, prioritize and organize self and others.
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Ability to manage a complex and demanding workload with flexible behaviour.
