Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesEducational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is required, with a Master’s degree or PMP certification being preferable.Professional Certification: Must hold a valid engineering certification with membership in UAE and/or GCC engineering bodies.Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local construction laws and regulations is essential.Standards Compliance: Familiarity with international and regional construction codes and standards.Language Proficiency: Excellent command of both written and spoken English.Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience as a Resident Engineer, with at least 5 years on large-scale construction projects.Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in commercial management.Contract Management: Experience working within FIDIC environment contracts.Project Coordination: Skilled in managing and coordinating various project tasks effectively.Financial Oversight: Experience in internal financial monitoring, including profit and loss procedures.Construction Programming: Proficient in programming construction activities.Health and Safety: Knowledgeable in HSE and sustainability regulations and parameters.This role requires a dedicated professional who can ensure the successful execution of construction projects while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
