We’re looking for an EHS Manager for our Sales Areas within business areas Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions and Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. This role will also include managing the Territory EHS responsibility for the Middle East.

This position will report to the HR Business Partner, Middle East and be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and travelling to our sites in Southern Europe is part of your job.

Your responsibilities

You are a driven team player with strong business acumen and leadership skills. You are eager to drive our important EHS work and make cultural change! You have an important role to play in developing a sustainable marketing approach and supporting our sales organizations communicate our approach to customers. You will participate in Sales Area Management Team meetings, ensuring the management team are well in line with the EHS directions from Global EHS is part of your job as well as being part of the core Sales Area Crisis Team.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

• As a Lead Team member you will extract the essence from the monthly meeting and repack the information for communicate to the EHS Core Team.
• You will participate in the yearly F2F meetings to prepare for next year EHS activity portfolio.
• 
  Training and Education
  
  • You will prepare training on demand and handle requests for both the local Management Team and the EHS Core Team.
  • You will organize monthly F2F meetings with the EHS Core Team.
• 
  Environmental & Sustainability
  • You will support Territories with Environment and Sustainability initiatives and convey the information from Global EHS to the EHS Team and prepare the team for upcoming demands.
• 
  You will play the role of expert and guide with the use of EHS 360 and applications such as:
  • EHS Plan
  • Safety Campaigns
  • Measurement Tool , League Table.
  • Classifications, Investigations, Future Risk Potential etc.
  • Operational EHS 360 support
• 
  SA Management Meetings SMR/SRP
  • You will participate in and prepare and communicate adequate EHS information
• 
  Activities for new calendar year
  • You will prepare training of the content for the EHS Core Team and support with EHS Target setting for the SA
• 
  Monthly Meeting EHS Core Team
  • You will prepare the monthly activity plan, handle improvement areas and create a clear picture of the progress status in each territory.
• 
  Monthly EHS Reporting
  • You will gather data and summarize the monthly performance for communication.
• 
  Product Safety / React
  
  • You will have dialogues about product safety within each Production Site in Turku, Tampere, Svedala
• 
  Link between Sales Area and Global EHS
  • You will act as a link between CIS and Global EHS for understanding, clarifying and seeking request for improvements

You will also be responsible for the EHS Territory work in the Middle East.

• The responsibility of this position will be provided separately.

Work closely with the HR Business Partner for the Sales Area with ad-hoc HR Activities

• Close collaboration with HR locally and for the Sales Area

Your skills and qualifications

You have a solid background in leading and driving EHS matters and activities related to cultural change. You have a relevant degree and it is beneficial if you have experience from a similar industry as we operate in. Acting in an international, cross-country environment suits you very well, and your flexible and open-minded attitude is a great tool when facing people from different cultures. This means that you need to be fluent in English.
