The Company
Robert Half are working with a well-known and diverse hospitality brand to appoint an ACIS (or equivalent) qualified Company Secretary to join their HQ based in the heart of Dubai. You will lead the delivery of the company secretariat for the portfolio of companies, boards, JVs and committees. Experience within a hospitality, real estate or a diverse investment organisation would be preferred for this position and you should have an excess of 10 years’ experience in a similar role. This role will only suit candidates who have proven experience within the MENA region.
The Role
- Organising and executing all board/committee programs
- Identifying, assessing and implementing regulatory and legislative changes
- Leading governance projects
- Liaising with JV stakeholders, shareholders, regulators and Executive Office to ensure instructions and decisions are carried out and communicated
- Review and update processes, manuals, policies and procedures to improve corporate governance
- Registering board resolutions and results
- Ensure Board and Committees are compliant with regulatory requirements – keeping up to date with any legislative/governance amendments
The Candidate
- At least 10 years’ experience in a multi-faceted, highly regulated organisation
- BA in Law, Finance or relevant field as well as ACIS/FCIS/ICSA professional qualification
- Extensive regulatory experience preferably with a focus on financial services requirements
- Ability to forge relationships with senior management and stakeholders
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Extremely analytical mindset with the ability to present complex ideas
- Listed entity experience is preferred
- Arabic would be advantageous
