What we are looking for:
We are looking for hands-on Software Engineering Managers with many years of experience of delivering cutting edge application software in Languages such as Java, C++, Python, Go, JavaScript or Ruby. Our client likes individuals who can be versatile and are not afraid of using their past experience as a Software Engineer to help drive the team where required.
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will come from a hands-on Development background and have the ability to still be hands on as and when required, particularly with design and architecture.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience of managing Software teams who are developing cutting edge software in languages such as Java, C++, Python, Go, JavaScript or Ruby.
- 3+ years of Software Management Experience
- Knowledge of Microservices and scalable systems
- Excellent written and spoken English Language skills
Advantageous Experience:
- Asynchronous programming and scalable systems experience
- Relational database design and/or open-source RDBMS systems such as MySQL and PostSQL
- Experience of Perl or Node.js
- Linux and other open-source platforms.
