Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager Engineering & Design

• Review and comment preliminary plans related to engineering for compliance to Radisson Standards. That is for pipeline projects (new built, conversations, renovations and operating hotels)
• Discuss and advice on any potential technical restrictions or constrains related to engineering that you may foresee
• Review and advice on preliminary concept design information from MEP & Fire Life & Safety consultants, and other consultant related to engineering when applicable.
• Ensure compliance to Radisson Standards and Engineering Matrix and report on deviations
• Assist when required on suggesting related value engineering solutions or specifications
• Review and advice on detailed design drawings and specifications related to Engineering for compliance to Radisson Standards
• Keeps good record of all reviewed and approved documents, for various engineering related technical trades and design stages
• Interacts with key Radisson departments throughout the duration of the projects.
• When requested carry out site visits and attend important milestone inspections related to engineering to control and report thoroughly on status and expected partial completion and potential hotel opening date
• Prepare when requested a GM file related to engineering to be handed over and presented to incoming GM and hotel Engineer in due time.
• Assist, attend and certify testing & commissioning of various engineering systems when requested.
• Assist in preparing snagging lists related to engineering and support hotel operations to complete
• Works proactively, delivering a positive and timely response to consultants’ owners and other stake holders
• Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required

Requirements of the Project Manager Engineering & Design

• Degree in Engineering (MEP) design
• Proven experience in hotel engineering and design with excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Must be able to read and understand complex Engineering system drawings and specifications
• Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to Engineering and fire, life & safety.
• Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
• Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
• Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms
• Strong communication skills
