- Responsible for creating and updating conceptual, logical, and physical data models and data dictionaries.
- Forward engineer and create the scripts required for database creation.
- Maintain the versions of data models.
- Reviewing existing data models to identify areas of improvement or possible issues.
- Gather requirements/business rules needed to ETL the source data from EMR, HER, medical claims, etc., systems
into OMOP CDM.
- Define mappings between source and target structure and terminologies based on OMOP vocabulary.
- Communicate to internal or external teams.
- Participate in scrum agile meetings – sprint planning, retro, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint demo.
- Be able to work with external clients in a professional manner.
- Responsible for working with the DBAs on the creation of the physical database.
Requirements:
- Very good analytical and design skills.
- Professional Health industry experience in information systems.
- Experience with Data Modelling experience creating data models.
- 2+ years of experience in data modeling in the healthcare domain such as OMOP and i2b2.
- Working experience or good knowledge of OMOP ecosystem tooling such as Rabbit in a Hat and White Rabbit,
Achilles, etc.
- At least two implementations of OMOP CDM in large complex project.
- Experience in designing relational and NoSQL data models.
- Ability to gather requirements/business rules.
- Ability to work with both the business stakeholders and the development team.
- Experience in SQL script development for major DBMS.
- Knowledge of ETL process and databases.
- Expert in Erwin. Expert knowledge in DW and BI tools.
- Big data/Hadoop knowledge.
- Excellent communication and writing skills
