Job SummaryDuncan & Ross is seeking a skilled Plumbing BIM Modeler to join our Digital Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) for plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with design consultants, architects, and engineering teams to integrate plumbing systems within overall project designs.Create, review, and adjust detailed plumbing BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.Prepare and present 3D plumbing designs and visualizations to communicate technical aspects effectively to clients and stakeholders.Conduct regular reviews of BIM models, ensuring design feasibility and consistency with project timelines and budget constraints.Stay informed about the latest developments in BIM technology, software updates, and best practices for efficient plumbing design.Mentor and support junior BIM modelers and drafters, providing guidance on modeling standards, best practices, and project workflows.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a focus on plumbing design.5+ years of experience in plumbing design and BIM modeling, preferably within a design consultancy environment.Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks.Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience with sustainable design practices and systems (LEED or other green building certifications is a plus).About Duncan & RossDuncan & Ross is a leading provider of digital engineering services, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for the built environment.
