Job Overview Used Parts Procurement Officer will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process. The main responsibility will be to oversee the procurement of used automotive parts from various sources to support the repair and maintenance operations, ensuring the availability of high-quality used parts at competitive prices, contributing to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our service department. Roles and Responsibilities Research and identify sources for used automotive parts, including salvage yards, auctions, dealerships, and online platforms.the quality, condition, and compatibility of used parts to determine suitability for purchase and resale.prices and terms with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable payment terms for used parts acquisitions.and evaluate Price from suppliers.with the parts department and service advisors to identify specific parts needs based on repair orders and customer requests.orders for used parts, track shipments, and verify receipt of parts according to purchase agreements and quality standards.incoming used parts for accuracy, completeness, and condition, resolving any discrepancies or issues with suppliers as needed.accurate records of used parts inventory, purchases, pricing, and supplier information.order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases/system.with storekeeper to ensure proper storage.market trends, pricing fluctuations, and availability of used parts to make informed purchasing decisions and optimize inventory management.compliance with company policies.other related tasks assigned by the reporting supervisor.Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education certificate in related field.to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, in the automotive industry (must).Knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and compatibility requirements.Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
