Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW :

Works as directed by the Client / Employer Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineer, or Quality Control Manager. Provides quality control inspection activities on assigned project and or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with project requirements. Regularly interacts with other employees and representatives from a variety of functional groups, suppliers, subcontractors and client on project.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for:

1) Implementing inspection, examination, and testing procedures

2) Recording inspection, examination, and testing data

3) Planning inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment

4) Evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results

5) Reporting inspection, examination and testing results

6) Mentoring lower-level Inspectors

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

BSc in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, and 5 to 8 years related building construction experience.

UAE experience, Abu Dhabi is preferable.

Additional years of education beyond the minimum requirement are considered equivalent to years of related work experience.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

All inspectors must be tested for visual acuity and color discrimination as a part of employment.

Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis and retention of quality records.

Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
