Job Description
The CAD Technician is responsible for the preparation and creation of architectural designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD and ensuring that design/Shop drawings conform to specifications / measurements provided.
Responsibilities and Duties
Setting up of sheets and drawings to be done as per company standard.
Must be able to draft the detail, shop drawings plan and details as per the ID Drawings.
To Ensure that the drawing sheet must have all project related information such as: – Client details, Project Number, drawing number, drawn by, checked by, approved by, any sub-contractor details, drawing issue sheet no, key plan, abbreviations, and Legends.
Create drawings by using CAD software that incorporates exact measurements, calculations, building codes and other project details.
Create the drawing log as per the drawing sheets.
Conduct site visit if required for actual site measurements.
Plot the drawings to the appropriate scale.
Amend the drawings as per the comments.
Issue the drawing set to the design coordinator for checks and confirmation
Attend technical meetings with the team.
Prepare the shop drawings as per the design/concept
Must be able to read and understand BOQ
Must be a multitasker.
