NAS Dubai is a purpose built ‘flagship school’ generously resourced with an enrolment of over 2300.Our curriculum is based upon the legacy of the English National Curriculum adapted to the local environment leading up to GCSE and on to the IB Diploma programme, and A Levels introduced last year. Our GCSE 2022 results significantly surpasses the world average, with 71% of students achieving A**-A, 9-7 (World Average 27.6%). About the role

• To be responsible for managing the effective and efficient administration of external examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations (on behalf of the JCQ member awarding bodies) and/or awarding body rules for exams administration in a consistent and secure fashion, thereby helping to maintain the integrity of the assessment process
• To support the Head of centre in ensuring that the centre is compliant with the JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements in order to ensure the security and integrity of the examinations/assessments at all times
• To act on behalf of, and be the main point of contact for, the centre in matters relating to the general administration of awarding body examinations and assessments
• To closely liaise with key stakeholders (external and internal) to ensure exams administration processes are strictly followed and key deadlines met
• To ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with the regulations
• Through taking an ethical approach and working proactively to avoid malpractice among students and staff, supports the head of centre in taking all reasonable steps to prevent the occurrence of any malpractice/maladministration before, during the course of and after examinations have taken place

1. STRATEGIC ASPECTS OF THE ROLE

Acquire and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the external assessment requirements through external companies or regulatory bodies such as GL education, MAP testing, IB examinations and KHDA and stay abreast of any changes which occur within this area for compliancy

2. ADMINISTRATIVE ASPECTS OF THE ROLE

Create timetables for when these tests need to be sat, book relevant spaces, computers and headphones for the completion of these assessments. Communicate the timetable details with all staff and liaise with the IT department to ensure the smooth running of all tests

3. COVER MANAGEMENT

Managing and organising cover for absent secondary teaching staff

About you

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Advanced experience in MS Office
• The ability to work to tight deadlines, and the ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy
• Past experience in school environment
• Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members of school
• Advanced excel skills for report generation and analysis of high volume of
• data
• High levels of personal integrity.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
• Willingness to take on multiple tasks

This is a full-time position, starting from 2nd January 2023.
