Job Summary.

To lead the Assembly shop team, to primarily be involved with the assembly, maintenance, testing, disassembly, troubleshooting of the company assets. Ensure standard procedures and policies are being followed to perform the assigned tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains and takes preventive and corrective action to address potential safety hazards and prevent future injuries, ensure the team resists temptation to cut corners where safety is concerned, ensure the team follows all safety related company and location policies & specific safety rules, conduct safety meetings.
• Involve and encourage ideas for continuous improvement in workplace.
• Collaborate with all departments of the business to share and implement best practices, improve quality and reliability of the service operations.
• Complete the competencies required to develop a deep understanding of the product line and technical specifications.
• Lead the competency management system to ensure the assembly team is trained and competent for all the product line tools assembled in facility.
• Lead and share knowledge with assembly team to quality check parts and assemblies to ensure accuracy of dimension and quality.
• Recommend tooling supplies and replacement parts as required.
• Manage assembly personnel, meeting schedule expectations, enhance workshop efficiency, maintain quality and 5S of the shop.
• Maintain all appropriate paperwork and ensure complete documentation of the standard work exists for all assembly processes.
• Accountable for the On Time completion and correct readiness of the assemblies.
• Ensure production schedules are on time and in order.
• Accountable for data & system updates with accuracy and safe storage of job files done.
• Track and provide status on production units for daily status meetings.
• Assist in training new personnel when required.
• Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to at all time.
• Communicate with Engineering, Purchasing, Planning and Quality on drawing problems, manufacturing order problems and quality problems.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

Essential:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in oil field repair and maintenance shop experience.
• Knowledge of working with overhead cranes and breakout machines.
• Have good machine shop knowledge.
• Physically fit for workshop nature of work.

Desirable:

• HSEQ training and qualification
• Knowledge of JD Edwards system.
