Job Description

Excellent Opportunity with NAFFCO to work as an accountant with the Finance Team.

As an accountant you will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

Analyze financial information, prepare financial statements, and provide reporting and insights to assist in decision-making. Below is a detailed job description for a financial accountant.

• Managing financial transactions: Recording financial transactions, verifying and reconciling account balances, and preparing journal entries.
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements: Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitoring and reporting financial performance: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Preparing reports on financial performance and providing insights to management.
• Cash flow management: Monitoring cash flow, ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers, and managing accounts receivable and payable.
• Financial analysis and forecasting: Conducting financial analysis, forecasting future financial trends, and making recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Internal controls: Designing and implementing internal control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting and safeguarding of assets.
• Collaborating with stakeholders: Working closely with other departments, managers, and stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support in decisionmaking.
• Staying updated on accounting standards and regulations: Keeping uptodate with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and implementation of best practices.

Should be ACCA or CPA Qualified
