Job Summary:

The Resource Planning team is responsible for the planning and allocation of people resources for clients or internal projects. The objective of Resource Planning is to ensure that resource allocation is delivered in an optimized, effective, and efficient way and supports the firm in delivering its customer commitments. Part of resource management is to focus on vendor management as part of the broader company.

The Resource Manager is responsible for end-to-end resource management for their area of focus within domains. Our new colleague will interface closely with Service Delivery Leaders, Managers and Team Leads, Project Managers and other key stakeholders within markets globally.

The Resource Manager will report to Head of Resource Management

Main responsibilities:

• Managing the relationship with their area of focus – providing focused resource management
• Allocate people to client’s/internal projects
• Understanding the pipeline of resource demand
• Driving the demand forecasting process
• Building a good understanding of the focus area/local/regional resource pool skill
• Managing resource planning process for area of focus – building a deep understanding of resource supply
• Provide resourcing support and guidance for markets
• Identify and implement resourcing process improvements
• Have a solution driven mindset to managing resolution of resourcing conflicts
• Have regular contact with Managing Directors, Delivery Directors, Consultants, Project Managers
• Manage view of resource supply – using resourcing tools (resource planning tool)
• Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for resource and vendor management
• Working closely with the P&C team to ensure that once resources are allocated there is an easy transition
• Work with minimal to no supervision

• Resource management experience or understanding the resourcing process on projects
• Experience of using flexible sourcing options to staff projects
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in PMO or program/project management
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English – written and verbal
• Ability to recognize cultural differences and lead virtual cross team discussions
• Experience of working with external resource vendors
• Good facilitation skills – able to conduct meetings with senior stakeholders and manage negotiations
• A good understanding of IT Services will be an advantage
• Having a HR or Business qualification will be an advantage
• Basic understanding of contracting and contract management will be an advantage
