Description

• Ensure that IT support jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Installs, configures and maintains computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices. Repairs and replaces equipment as necessary.
• Use own initiative to troubleshoot support issues and provide solutions.
• Challenge current practices to provide new and more efficient ways of working.
• Ensure machine builds are kept up to date, and that equipment is running in an optimal way.
• Be courteous and professional towards colleagues and other members of staff at all times.
• Ensure that all systems are documented and kept up to date.
• Capture all Issues / Change / work completed within the companies helpdesk system.
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support across the company
• Setting up accounts for new users
• Performs basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems for agency users.
• Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies.
• Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
• Maintains and updates record keeping system; document projects and maintain user instructions.
• Tracks inventory levels of equipment and materials; perform data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports and/or systems errors.
• Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
• Reviews, evaluates and recommends solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.
• Researches and develops initiatives and in the implementation of new technologies.
• Assists with the implementation of technology projects with moderate scope and impact.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management.

• Proactively pursue self-development opportunities within the Agency.
• Assume joint responsibility with Performance Manager for regularly reviewing performance and personal development.

• Formal Degree in Computer Science
• Experience in PC/Mac Troubleshooting and Support
• Experience in Windows10/MacOS Troubleshooting and Support
• Ability to take a methodical and logical approach to situations
• Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications including but not limited to:
  • PC / Windows 10
  • Macintosh / MacOS
  • Microsoft Office / Office 365
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Antivirus Software
  • Networking fundamentals

• Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
• Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of focus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
• Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer problems.
• Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or corporate applications and systems.
