Technical Operations Center Operator
The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Technical Operations Center Operator for our Broadcast Operations Team at our offices in Dubai.
The Technical Operations Center Operator is responsible for operating the Technical Operations Center equipment in both automated and live/manual situations for multiple channels. The Operator is responsible for providing technical operations support including providing video and audio ingest from satellite and fiber sources, shows from multiple sources, quality control the video from remotes, monitor squeezebacks, and crawls.
The Technical Operations Center Operator operates the Media Asset Management system to record feeds from the reporters and/or content from domestic and overseas bureaus; this includes proper metadata tagging and identification.
Candidates are required to have:
- Four year degree in television or related field. Equivalent education, experience and/or training will be considered in lieu of degree – including live broadcast news control room, master control, feeds, and ingest experience.
- Proven experience with operation of digital storage technologies and transmission protocols.
- Arabic language skills and cultural knowledge is desirable.
