Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Postgraduate Medical Education, the successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the Postgraduate Medical Education office (PGME), and providing strategic support to key initiatives for PGME activities. Duties include providing management services to facilitate the delivery of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and College of Family Physicians of Canada postgraduate programs; managing accreditation, standards and academic affairs, including the process and standards of accreditation, as well as compliance of standards required by affiliated regulatory authorities and other stakeholders of PGME, assisting with program development to achieve specific objectives, and providing advice and support to programs; managing the operations of the PGME office, including financial, human and administrative resources.

Pproviding management support services for resident recruitment and admissions, as well as matters of resident affairs; assisting in the development, application, administration and monitoring of policies and procedures related to PGME; collaborating with stakeholders at the local, provincial and national levels to enhance PGME programming and resources; providing reports as required of PGME, including a variety of statistical analysis to the national Colleges and other stakeholders (local and national);representing PGME at local, provincial and national levels; preparing/providing presentations and performing other related duties as required.

Required Skills
Experience (3-5 years) in a management capacity in an academic environment; completion of most coursework towards a Master’s degree with major coursework in Education or a related discipline. Strong skills in academic management including analytical and problem solving; a relevant combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience with MS Office is required. Candidates will ideally have familiarity with Memorial University policies and procedures, as well as familiarity with the Faculty of Medicine.
