Job OverviewAs a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical work adheres to specified contract standards. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that are essential for maintaining quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesInspection Duties: Conduct thorough inspections to verify that all work aligns with contractual specifications.Site Assessments: Evaluate pumping stations, reservoirs, and other related installations.Signage and Equipment: Oversee the installation of both temporary and permanent signage, as well as mechanical equipment.Construction Oversight: Monitor building and facility construction, including site development activities.Documentation: Capture project photographs and maintain detailed progress records.Office Management: Organize project-related files and maintain daily diaries for accurate record-keeping.Reporting: Prepare daily reports and necessary documentation as stipulated by the contract.Material Verification: Ensure that only approved materials are utilized in the project.Compliance Interviews: Conduct labor compliance interviews and maintain as-built plans.Conflict Resolution: Identify potential issues and conflicts, reporting them to supervisors along with proposed solutions.Material Documentation: Collect and review Certificates of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other relevant material information.Technical Guidance: Provide support and technical direction to junior inspectors as needed.Coordination: Facilitate the work of subconsultants involved in surveying and material testing.Safety Practices: Contribute to the development of job safety practices and assist in preparing safety reports.Quality Control: Engage in the creation of quality control reports and procedures.Payment Verification: Report on installed quantities to confirm applications for payment and manage change order work.This position is vital for maintaining the integrity and quality of mechanical installations within our projects at Parsons Corporation Dubai.
