Meat & Livestock Australia Ltd (MLA) is a not-for-profit company that strives to be the recognised leader in delivering world-class research, development and marketing outcomes that benefit Australian red meat and livestock industry. The MLA office in Dubai UAE is the marketing board for the Australian red meat industry and promotes Australian beef and sheep meat covering the Middle East and North African markets

Based in Dubai, an exciting part-time opportunity as a Marketing Executive to play a pivotal role supporting, implementing and contributing to marketing strategies and business development activities for Australian beef and lamb across trade in the Middle East and North African (MENA) market.

The role will also support the Regional Manager and Business Development Managers on all project activities across retail, food service, trade and consumer campaigns.

Other key components of the role include:

• Assist in developing and implementing an annual business development plan that aims to build brand awareness of and demand for Australian beef and lamb.
• Assist in managing a consumer promotional strategy to drive awareness and preference for Australian beef and lamb meat in MENA.
• Assist in managing external agencies support across all channels including program evaluation to ensure the successful delivery of the consumer promotional strategy and business development activities.
• Assist the Regional Manager and Business Development Managers in trade relation activities with presentations, education materials and tactical marketing/promotional efforts
• Working with agency partners, provide timely written reports of effectiveness of campaign activities.
• Assist in providing information on market trends and issues to industry and MLA analysts and communications staff

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong marketing background, especially in the food industry with minimum 3 years’ experience
• Training/competency certificates or records for computer skills, SAP or similar systems will be favourably considered
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Business level English and Arabic reading and writing skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of MENA food trends, meat markets and business culture
• Minimum 3 years marketing of a food product to the retail and/or foodservice trade
• Experienced and confident with the operation and management of digital media platforms.
