Job Overview:

Manages, monitors and advises on all matters related to the safety and health of personnel and issues affecting the Health and Safety of personnel and the Environment.

Supervises Senior Manager HSES, HSES Manager, HSES Advisors, Medical Manager, Project HSES Resources. Liaise with Operations Leaders, Training Lead, HR Manager, Quality Manager, Medical Director. Reports to Senior Director QHSES

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop/review/update HSE Management System in line with corporate and legislative requirements.
• Monitor for effectiveness and assist in implementation of HSE Management System.
• Prepare annual HSE program and activity plan.
• Prepare and issue facility reports.
• Prepare HSE inputs for Bids and Proposals.
• Review/approve subcontractors and vendors HSE suitability for inclusion on approved suppliers list.
• Liaise with clients/local authorities on matters relating to HSE Hazard and Risk Assessment.
• Maintain adequate level of qualified HSE personnel and supervise their activities.
• Able to build, maintain and lead a professional team across multiple projects and countries.
• Recruit and develop trainee HSE personnel.
• Prepare/maintain cost center budget.
• Conduct audits and inspections.
• Prepare and monitor effectiveness of HSES campaigns and leadership engagement for performance improvement.
• Develop, manage and present Safety Training Programs as required.
• Facilitate HAZIDS as required.
• Mentor all HSES staff.
• Monitor BBSM process/program.
• Other duties related to HSES function, as directed.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Degree/Diploma in Safety or Environmental Management
• Over 10 year Oil and Gas construction and process and Safety
• Membership in Professional Safety Institute
• Experience in large scale EPCI projects
• Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.
• Experience in the development and the implementation of safety leadership and behavioral based safety programs.
• Have wide experience with technical activities, including on and offshore operations.
• Maintain key competencies such as BOSIET, H2S, PTW, etc.
• Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
• Computer literate on Microsoft programs: Word, Access, Power Point, Excel, Project.
• International experience and working with multiple projects and cultures at once.
• Be conversant with local and international HSE laws, regulations and norms. Must be experienced in plant and vendor inspections of all types of mechanical equipment required in oil and gas installations
