Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify potential clients and industries to target for business development.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to generate new leads and opportunities.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Understand clients’ shipping and logistics needs, and propose tailored solutions.
Regularly communicate with clients to address any concerns and provide updates on services.
Sales and Negotiation:
Present the company’s shipping and forwarding services to potential clients.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure deals.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth service delivery.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Generate sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Market Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments.
Identify opportunities for business expansion and service diversification.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven track record of success in sales within the shipping, freight, or logistics industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Knowledge of international shipping regulations and logistics processes is a plus.
Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
Experience:
Several years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in the shipping, freight, or forwarding industry. A background in business development, relationship management, and international trade is highly desirable.
