JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the EMEA HR Compensation & Benefits Team, the Senior Manager-HR Technology, Compensation & Benefits contributes specialized knowledge and skill in HR technology and systems, execution of annual C&B processes and projects, analytics and any compensation and benefits activities to support the team and/ or department business objectives.

Leveraging compensation data (internal & external) and HR systems, such as mHUB (Oracle HCM), and a range of other existing business systems, the role will also collaborate closely with others to perform annual compensation processes in mHUB, transform manual data sources and other available static information into solutions that facilitate the (semi) automation of information, intelligence, and reports, as and where needed.

The role will contribute knowledge and skill in C&B and HR Technology to enable Marriott International and its brands to attract, engage, educate and retain its world class talent. The role will focus on providing support to the corporate offices across EMEA while supporting hotels where and as required and will be pivotal to support the C&B Team and HR Teams to achieve the department objectives.

The role should be preferably based in Dubai, but other location can be an option.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

Specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Primary Responsibility: Technology & Processes

• Participate in completion of annual compensation processes, including the merit review, bonus pay out process and other relevant cycles as LTIP by utilizing mHUB functionalities. This includes system management, project plans, processes and workflows, communication with the relevant stakeholders including HR Teams and HQ.
• Support in system related matters and work on ad-hoc requests to align C&B processes to company’s systems, in particularly mHUB.
• Review requests for job analysis, including requests for job evaluations, new job titles and grades or changes to existing jobs’ job descriptions, and recommend changes if necessary.
• Support business in preparing job description reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
• Formulate recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, introduction/revision of employee benefits, job revisions and organizational structures.
• Manage and partner in various C&B projects by providing analytics and support to the C&B Leaders.

Additional Responsibility: Compensation & Benefits

• Draft and regularly update employee benefits policies, processes and procedures. Ensure these are aligned to best practice and are done in a timely /accurate manner.
• Conduct continuous market analysis and review of compensation and benefits packages with recommendations to senior leaders in the C&B Team and HR Partners to maintain market positioning.
• Provide HR Leadership Team with creative alternatives and recommendations for capturing/ enhancing compensation & benefits performance with specific focus on cost effectiveness of these programs.
• Independently provide data driven analyses, in collaboration with the analyst, to customers to make organizational decisions related to the effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency of compensation programs including providing alternatives to consider and recommendations for action.
• Track implementation of process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the C&B function.
• Develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs.
• Adhere to and maintain regulatory compliance on various compensation & benefits related controls.
• Assist with the benefits enrolment/renewal process to ensure employees receive accurate information and enrolments/renewals are completed on a timely basis.
• Assist in developing and distributing training and presentation materials for compensation & benefits program roll-outs.

Additional: Other Responsibilities

• Work independently with business leaders (HR Partners and discipline leaders), provide ongoing compensation consultation regarding management and non-management compensation issues in an accurate and timely manner.
• Proactively consolidate and analyse HR data taking into account HR goals.
• Prepare compensation, bonus, benefits reports, as and when required, for all stakeholders.
• Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the Corporate C&B Leaders and Projects as per the business requirements.
• Effectively & efficiently partner with all stakeholders for all compensation & benefits related initiatives/processes.
• Complete any required administrative support to support the effective management and processing of compensation and benefits activity.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources in a large complex organization.
• Experience in management or support implementation or work with HCM or other HR systems is an advantage.
• Solid, progressive experience in compensation analysis, design and administration experience is an advantage.
• Previous experience of managing medium to large size projects and leading process improvement efforts.
• A strong background in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or Economics preferred.
• Hospitality/ Hotel experience desirable.
  

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of compensation practices, job analysis/ evaluation, benchmarking, federal labor regulations, and general HR practices preferred.
• Strong project management skills, able to plan and prioritize activities.
• Great verbal and written communication skills to deliver the right message for the right audience.
• Expert skills in Excel for analysis, formulas and charting.
• Expert in MS powerpoint, able to develop presentation decks to illustrate and communicate related information at very short notice.
• Strong analytical skills are required to effectively analyze data, with exceptional accuracy.
• Proven ability to independently identify and analyze problems/ issues, assess risks, evaluate alternative potential solutions and recommend a course of action.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment and build effective relationships.
• Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.

Education

• Degree, professional qualification in HR or a related professional area preferred.
• Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Certification (or equivalent) preferred
