POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial & Operations Analyst will report to the Senior Manager Financial Reporting & Analysis. As part of the Reporting team, they provides support to Area Directors of Finance, Vice President Finance Operations and the Senior Director Financial Reporting & Analysis and the entire reporting team in EMEA while performing other tasks as assigned by the reporting group and management team.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Assist with the design and preparation of statistical reports, other reporting needs and ad hoc consolidation work as required.
- Supports the execution of reporting responsibilities for the lodging properties across all brands in EMEA: business planning, budgeting and forecasting, LRP, operational analysis, consolidations, financial reporting
- Assists in the timely and accurately tracking and loading hotel data during month-end period, business plan, budgeting and forecasting cycles;
- Running validations and checks to ensure accurate and complete data tracking and assists in meeting periodic reporting deadlines
- Preparation of PeopleSoft and Essbase reporting and validation of reporting configuration; audits accuracy of configuration in each system as applicable
- Reviews / Validates Chart of Accounts accuracy and does regular audits and data projects on accurate usage by hotels
- Provides accurate data timely to third party stakeholders and benchmark companies
- The associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
- Produce and distribute team correspondence, presentations and other related documents as required.
- Responds to various requests for help and information.
- Communicates with property associates to provide information and resolve challenges.
CANDIDATE PROFILE – KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Experience:
- Knowledge of Marriott International Key Brands and Strategies with a financial background, affinity for numbers and proven experience in working with excel. Furthermore able to prove their work using own initiative, ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and different leadership levels.
Flexibility of a role dependent on business needs.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong customer development and relationship management skills
- Ability to design and implement successful tracking of documents and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of all Marriott Lodging products, programs, cultures and brand strategies
- Ability to manage and balance own time
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to use standard software applications such as Excel, Word, Power Bi and PowerPoint.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships e.g. associates, customers, owners.
Education or Certification
- Excellent level of English essential (verbal and written)
- Minimum Business administration Finance
- Or other relevant work experience
