he Vice President, Luxury Brands – MEA, is responsible for ensuring appropriate representation and brand pull through of Marriott International’s luxury brands in the MEA region, inclusive of brand marketing, brand activation, partnerships and events, brand culture, on-strategy luxury growth and interior design, and branded guest experiences. The VP, Luxury Brands – MEA is the owner of the luxury brand strategy in the region and is responsible for ensuring on-brand execution at hotels. The role will drive ongoing coordination with and act as a partner to the Global Luxury Brand team. The position will also oversee the MILUX strategy for the MEA region, ensuring that we position Marriott International as a leader in Luxury through thoughtful events, activations and collaborations with like-minded brands in the Luxury space. The VP, Luxury Brands, MEA is accountable for partnering with continent leadership to execute the guest experience in a way that is consistent with the specific brand’s business model and vision in a way that creates maximum profitability. This experience spans from building brand preference for both customers and investors, to on-site product and service touch points. Skills and experience we will look for in the ideal candidate to join our team: To be successful in this role, the leader will be responsible for executing and constantly enhancing the direction for the brand’s including: Acting as advocate for the luxury brands group and conduit between global brand and the MEA region Supporting brand positioning and representing brands in immersions internally and externally Driving performance standards and on / off strategy execution, including partnering with AVPs on renovations Contributing to value proposition & economic model given regional and continent nuances Acting as an extension of the Global Luxury Brand team, localising the Global Brand Strategy for the region Executing brand signature elements Pulling through Experience & Brand Culture execution Partnering in executing luxury brand marketing and sales strategy, in close collaboration with marketing and sales disciplines within Consumer Operations Supporting on-strategy growth, including working through conversion opportunities and new segment expansion Supporting Rooms, F&B, Spa and retail. Aligning on design execution for new build and conversion opportunities The position reports to VP, Luxury Brand & Communications, EMEA. Experience 15+ years of brand management, product management, and hotel operations. Lodging industry experience is strongly preferred Prior Luxury experience required Skills and Competencies Strategic and innovative thinker; can create broad business and brand concepts and strategies.
