POSITION
In your capacity as Assistant Manager for Business Development your scope of operation would be within the territory of the United Arab Emirates; emphasizing on the sales of freight movement specializing in Liquids Logistics. You will be responsible for developing our sales portfolio in the Liquids Logistics segment to increase turnover and overall profitability of the vertical. Identifying the market segment and customer needs to draw up a plan for sales which would take into account parameters such as customer demands, costs, efficiency, shippers of choice and so on. We expect you to develop a strong base of customers within the country that can be scaled to the region at a later point.. Commercial negotiations with customers and directing procurement and the CRM team towards customer needs would be critical role functions. All functions have to be driven from a customer and supplier driven mindset, as you will operate as the ambassador for MPL. In this position you will directly report to the Managing Director for UAE and based in our Dubai office.
PROFILE
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who has at least 3-5 years of experience of sales within freight and logistics industries with specialization in managing sales of liquids freight services. You should have good awareness of the market in the UAE with regards to freight sales and market segmentation on the liquids front. A target and goal oriented individual, you are someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail. You should be communicative and fluent in the written and spoken forms of English (proficiency in Arabic or an additional Sub-continental language will beget brownies). You must have strong negotiating skills and deliver excellent service towards your stakeholders who can be colleagues, suppliers, or customers. You will need to work independently with a positive attitude; and with the ability to accept and dish out positive criticism. Good working Knowledge of MS Office apps is a mandatory requirement. You should be someone who is eager to learn and not afraid to develop new possibilities.
