Role Purpose:

The Inventory Controller Associate is responsible for monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels for Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle brands in all stores and warehouse locations. The role ensures stock inventory compliance in accordance with Company policy and supports the Planning & Merchandising function in overseeing stock movement, reporting stock loss and keeping accurate track of all inventory related data.

  • Responsible for tracking inventory levels and stock movement across MAF Lifestyle stores and warehouse.
  • Track purchases received, inter-store stock movement, return of old season stock to suppliers, removal of damaged stock from stores based on relevant manager approvals.
  • Generate weekly and monthly stock movement and category wise summary reports to all stores and ensure these are available for management review.
  • Validate and finalize the half year and end of year stock takes carried out in all store locations and support store staff in conducting physical stock counts.
  • Ensure Inventory control procedures are in line with defined policy.
  • Research and report root causes of inventory shrinkage based on item level analysis, to relevant management and make recommendations to minimize risk of stock loss.
  • Highlight any discrepancies based on quantity and value during the inventory period and escalate occurrences of missing articles at item and category level, for further investigation by the audit team.
  • Contribute and support the business in achieving the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow sustainability strategy.
  • Brief and educate the store teams on the Inventory control processes and procedures.
  • Build professional relationship across stores and warehouse staff to ensure smooth and collaborative stock counts and accurate reporting.
