Role Purpose:

The Buying Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Buying teams in the compilation and collation of necessary merchandising information.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

Financial & Standards

Customer

  • Prepare the buying files for the buyers to complete their buying orders.
  • Check the order confirmation against the initial order and highlight any variance or discrepancy to the buyer.
  • Enriching the item data and item description to improve the online experience
  • Link the photos received from the brand to the item codes to save on the photo-shooting cost and training materials.
  • Create vendors for all the brands and suppliers
  • Support the buyers in consolidating the Training materials required for Stores, App, MKT and VM team.
  • Propose re-orders to the buyer providing all information to relevant parties in the planning and supply chain.
  • Prepare a recap on the total amount spent per category/department/brand/season Vs the approved OTB and highlight any variance to the buyer.
  • Support the buyer in analyzing the brand performance at an item level, ahead of the buying season
  • Prepare and analyze the loss of sales per brand before any seasonal buying.
  • Ensure the intake margin of the delivered goods, and the pricing is as per the agreed conditions.
  • Ensure timely deliveries and smooth flow of merchandise to stores
  • Support the buyers in the retail price analysis Vs the competition
  • Contribute and support the business in achieving the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow sustainability strategy.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to the Planning & Merchandising teams, providing relevant and timely information for sound business decisions.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure regular updates on any shifts and changes that may impact business.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications / Education
  • High school certification

Experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Planning & Merchandising is an added advantage
