About us:

At Maharat Learning Center we support children and young adults with Specific Learning Difficulties including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), as well as other cognitive disorders, developmental delays and learning difficulties that may be affecting their academic performance, and promote their inclusion in to the broader community. Our programs are individualized and our teaching style utilizes Assistive Technology, Augmentative Alternative Communication, ABA teaching techniques, online resources, virtual reality, robotics and other innovative technology to teach children and young adults the academic, social and life skills they need to succeed in school, college and life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement techniques based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the center, home, or school settings based on structured and individualized intervention programs designed by a Principal / Clinical Director. These include skill acquisition programs and behavior plans, to teach children with autism language, play, social, self-help, and academic skills, while at the same time reducing the occurrence of maladaptive behaviors.
• Ensure that clients receive effective treatment plans through supervision and continuous coaching of behavioral coordinators and ABA Therapists.
• Supervise the clinical staff and educate and train school staff and personnel in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as clients’ individual treatment plans and programmatic approaches, in order to ensure consistency of interventions.
• Conduct school observations to assess generalization of skills learned in the structured therapy setting, as well as areas of need.
• Assist Supervisors and School Representatives in developing IEP goals to address areas of need and train school staff in approaches to assist clients in meeting his / her goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Psychology / Special Education with BCBA.
• Previous experience in ABA and working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
