MEP Draftsman /Engineering Coordinator
Job brief
We are currently looking to fill a full-time position in our BIM/CAD Department. You will be using CAD/Revit and BIM Modelling Software to work on the design of MEP Shop drawings Prefabricated MEP and modular systems. This position will give you the chance to work on some of the top construction projects in the UAE.
This Opportunity is best suited for individuals with backgrounds of MEP engineering and modelling.
Responsibilities
Transform Shop drawings and 2D coordination drawings into 3D drawings.
Prepare and Adjust 3D coordination drawings using CAD and/or Revit to accommodate Modular Systems.
Review 3D Models provided by consultants and/or contractors and make the necessary adjustments for Modular systems.
Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks (Visio).
Prepare sections and 2D projection from the Mep Coordination Drawing.
3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification and preparation of BOQ.
Requirements and skills
Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks & AutoCAD.
Knowledge of MEP processes, codes, and procedures.
Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
Completed coursework in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or an equivalent combination of training and/or work experience.
BIM knowledge and interest in working with Prefabrication Technology.
Experience in MEP Modules is an advantage.
Experience in off-site prefabricated civil housing modulars is an added benefit.
