Our Middle East and North Africa hub started in 1998 and has successfully operated in a wide range of countries, delivering project and programme management and cost consultancy services. The MENA region currently employs 550 staff with rapid growth plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
Line management responsibility for the HR and PRO staff across multiple business units.
Supporting, guiding, and developing the HR team and PRO staff.
Development and implementation of MENA HR Strategy, in line with business plans and Global HR Strategy. Translate and implement Group policies into local operations.
Supporting the MENA region in enhancing business operations by improving the performance, capability and motivation of its people through the appropriate use of diagnostic tools, data and development of action plans.
Supporting the MENA region in applying and conforming to Mace group policies.
Develop where required and manage the implementation of people management policies and processes in line with Group requirements.
Working with leadership teams, ensuring consistent delivery of the HR function across all business areas.
Reporting and analysing people data to identify trends and issues which inform priorities and plans linked to the group business strategy.
Ensuring the business unit directors and leadership teams are supported and focus on performance management, employee relations, engagement and retention activities.
Manage HR issues as part of mobilising into new locations for projects.
Overseeing monthly payroll process, managing payroll team and liaising and working closely with regional finance teams.
Working closely with the recruitment team to facilitate resource requirements across the region.
Take an active role in the mobilisation and demobilisation of projects and subsequent resource management.
Supporting the delivery of and contributing to the content of appropriate training and development programmes, working closely with colleagues in the global talent and development and inclusion team.
Fully engaging with and utilising human resources processes for team development, career planning, and performance management.
Providing input on the HR implications of strategy linked to business plans.
Understanding and keeping up to date with employment legislation and changes across the GCC.
Working on HR projects in all business areas, as required and directed.
About you
You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in HR with at least 5 years in a business partner/generalist role, international experience preferred, proven experience in effectively managing an HR team (based and remote) and function, proven track record of managing daily HR operations for a large multi-national organisation, strong understanding of visa requirements and employment law in countries across the GCC, excellent verbal and written communication skills which are utilised to influence stakeholders, ability to build resourcing and retention plans with support from recruitment team and business unit leaders, the experience of mobilising and demobilising employees across the MENA region and country to country and ability to identify and advise on associated risks to the business.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You must have experience in programme or project management equating quality and value with the individual client and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
