Luxury Assets Hiring for Nanny for HNW family Job at Dubai Full Time

For a lovely HNW family with three boys (2/8/11) in Dubai we are looking for a permanent full-time Nanny with Middle Eastern experience. Driver not essential, UK or EU passports only (for ease of travel). To start around August 22 at the latest.

The family live in a fully staffed large property with a garden and pool in a beautiful part of Dubai. The mother is often at home but the responsibility for the children is solely with the nanny and Assistant Nanny, who provides superb and strong support to this role. The household is run informally and is very busy. There is one adorable puppy. The Private Chef is responsible for the kids meals and snacks and the children have no allergies or intolerances.

The family travel during school holidays (e.g. Maldives, Europe, US) when the nanny accompanies them and she should be able to adjust the hours to the family’s needs.

The boys are very well mannered and excel in academics which is very important to the family. The older one will soon be going to secondary school, the youngest to nursery school. The older two have strong creative skills playing the guitar and the piano, they are also learning to play tennis and play chess. They leave the house at 7am weekday mornings and are usually back by 3pm and during this downtime the nanny can catch up and organize things. They are in bed by 7pm during the week.

The duties of the Nanny:

• Providing the children with a safe environment
• Sorting the children’s laundry and wardrobes, organizing outfits
• Overseeing and assisting in cleaning the children’s rooms and toys
• Dealing with extensive PA duties: emails from schools, organizing time table including doctor appointments and classes, managing boy’s expenses and personal documentation
• Liaising with teachers and extra tutors if needed
• Overseeing homework (usually 1 hr a day) and assisting where needed
• Arranging outings, special activities and parties (with help from the house manager)
• Organize children’s wardrobe and buy clothes
• Checking that the boys eat a varied diet
• Instructing and supervising the assistant nanny
• Working as a team with the other staff and communicating well
• Teaching good manners and conduct
• Reporting developments and issues in regular meetings with parents

The requirements of the Nanny:

• Min of 5 years’ experience as a nanny including in the Middle East
• Experience of multiple children of similar ages (2 to 11) in a staffed VIP household
• Child care or early years qualifications (e.g CACHE) or equivalent
• A teaching background and/ or knowledge of the British secondary school curriculum is highly beneficial
• UK or EU passport (for ease of travel)
• Clean drivers’ license is beneficial but not essential (family has a driver all within walking distance)
• Fluency in English, ideally native; knowledge of Spanish and or French is an advantage
• Meticulous organizational and time keeping skills
• Great attention to detail
• Flexibility particularly when travelling (24/7)
• Recent security check
• Valid First Aid certificate
• Excellent references from past families
• Must be a confident swimmer
• Have an interest in sports

The nanny should be a role model to the boys to instil honesty, integrity and kindness; She should assist in the boys growing into respectful, well-groomed and well-mannered independent individuals. The parents seek a professional nanny who is firm but fair. They seek a nanny candidate with multiples experience who know how to deal with the challenges this brings, supporting and guiding the children depending on their individual needs while working as a strong team with the parents.

The nanny should be patient, creative and inspiring with a positive mind, able to explaining things well to the children and command some authority. This is a very warm hearted, gentle and friendly family who seek the nanny to become part of the family long term. The current nanny is leaving out of medical and personal reasons after a very successful 2 ½ years. The entire family is sad to see her go.

Proxy parenting is rare but will be required. Those extra hours are paid for in over time.

Accommodation is a two bedroom furnished apartment with a massive balcony within walking distance in a beautiful quiet location with a communal pool a gym, golf course and beautiful views. Neighbours work for the close family. Lots of classes are offered locally.

The Hours: 5 days a week 7am – 7pm, including one day over the weekend. Most likely days off are Tues/ Sat (when the boys have the fewest classes).

The salary: Around AED 18000/ month (tax free, approx £3900/ month), plus separate accommodation (and utilities), a return flights home a year, and private health insurance. Hours for proxy parenting are paid extra.

To start: Ideally a trial in June. Handover from July/ Aug. The family travel in the summer and there is flexibility with dates.
