The Training Manager is responsible for oversight of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) for the Airfield Operations and Maintenance (AOM) Division supporting the aviation battalion and LBS employees.

Your Impact

The Training Manager is responsible for developing, monitoring, and implementing the OJT training program. Duties and responsibilities fall into the following categories, while performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Although specific duties vary by assignment or contract typical duties include:

• Develop training plans, curriculum, training aids, training publications, and courseware.
• Directly assigned trainees and trainer interpreters in the use and standardization of training management systems.
• Plan and execute training and evaluation of customer personnel in accordance with the customer requirements and US Army Aviation Training Manuals and regulations.
• Track progress of training of all assigned personnel.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions to ensure currency of training for all assigned employees, coordinating with department leads for host-nation personnel engagement as required.
• Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administer evaluations to ensure proficiency and standardization of training, as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining Individual Job Books, and individualized training records of all employees and host-nation assigned OJT personnel.
• Directly responsible for all aspects of training record-keeping requirements and training reports for the battalion and contractor personnel.
• Coordinate and work in concert with the LBS departments and AOM Sections.
• Quarterly validation of scheduled classes for MNG Soldiers and LBS employees.
• Tack, document, and report, individual training, certification progress of MNG Soldiers and LBS employees.
• Track, document, and report, MNG Soldier and AOM training progress and qualifications.
• Provide consolidated, validated, accurate and timely status reports to MNG and LBS.
• Conduct Quarterly Battalion Training program audits. Recommend changes to improve performance and efficiencies of all training programs.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of LBS AOM OJT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Assist all trainers and course managers in meeting their MNG and LBS program training requirements.
• Perform technical writing and editing when updating MNG Task Books, performance measures, evaluations, and SOPs.
• Other tasks as directed by AOM Program Management.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a related field
• Experience working outside the continental United States
• Experienced leader with a diverse skillset supporting training requirements in aviation, airfield operations, and ability to work internally and externally to motivate teams, engage with clients and serve as a subject matter expert
• Demonstrated experience in a broad range of responsibilities to include contract management, quality control/quality assurance, financial management, safety, planning, client management, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of a US Military Training or Instructor certification course or military Host Nation equivalent
• Recency of experience of three years within the last six years in aviation and maintenance operations of similar scope to the contract
• Experience in Middle East/North Africa regions or with Arabic-speaking clients
• Certification as AS9100 series auditor
• Experience leading a training program of host-nation military
