Looking for VSAT/RF Maintenance Engineer at Dubai Full Time
Job Description
• Site surveys, Integration, Installation & Commissioning of Satellite Communication Systems (fixed/mobile/networks)
• Create documentation according company standard such as:
a) as built design documentation
b) test documentation (Network FAT & OSAT)
• Supervision and execution of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and On Site Acceptance Testing (OSAT)
• System Maintenance & Support (Planning & Performing)
• Pre-sales support for preparation of offers for existing and new customers
• Participation in on-call Support duty (24 x 7) on request
• Initial System Operation Support (via Remote or Onsite)
• Inter-departmental support relating to Projects/Products
• TDMA Engineering and Link Budget preparation
• Servicing SLA for local Customers
• Provide necessary training to customers.
• Overall project management
• Provide product demonstration for functionalities
Skills
The functional role in the position of post-sales maintenance engineer/senior engineer requires independent working skills so as to address requirements of customers in the VSAT/Satellite industry. The person shall have RF/System integration abilities making use of in-house VSAT and RF products as well as other OEM products. He shall extend support including installation in a supervisory role, product configuration and operation, project management, customer training, maintenance and extend advisory pre-sales support to sales team if required during various stages of business opportunities.
Ideal candidate shall be basically a graduate in engineering or equivalent with around 10-12 years of experience in the field of satellite communications, specific to RF/HPA and VSAT solutions with system integration skills in the satellite ground segment. Experience in IP-based VSAT technologies, wide area networking and network management will be an advantage.
The position involves limited travel as part of field support towards achieving prime business objectives of the company while contributing as an active team member. Candidates who are readily available to join will be preferable.
