OverviewWe are seeking a Lead Engineering Project Specialist to oversee and manage a diverse engineering team focused on significant new construction and conversion projects.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Direct a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure successful project execution.Technical Expertise: Possess a comprehensive understanding of piping systems and equipment, including design principles, sizing, and selection for various machinery such as pumps, heat exchangers, and valves.Specification Development: Create detailed equipment data sheets and specifications, conduct vendor data evaluations, and oversee equipment manufacturing processes.Mechanical Design: Execute mechanical design and calculations for machinery spaces, including equipment supports and material handling systems.Integration Knowledge: Demonstrate familiarity with engineering integration techniques.Structural Insight: Apply knowledge of structural engineering principles to project tasks.Industry Experience: Leverage experience in oil, gas, and LNG systems to inform project decisions.Vendor Liaison: Conduct technical assessments of quotations and maintain communication with selected vendors.Project Management: Act as the engineering project manager for conversion initiatives.Subcontractor Oversight: Manage and supervise engineering subcontractors to ensure project standards are met.Deliverables Preparation: Prepare engineering deliverables, estimate man-hours, and develop project schedules.Progress Monitoring: Control and track man-hour usage against project milestones.Design Review Participation: Engage in design reviews and implement necessary follow-up actions.Operational Implementation: Oversee daily operations within the engineering department to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.Reporting: Document meeting minutes and provide management reports as required.
