Join a globally leading logistics provider in this key role leading our dedicated and successful Dubai Overland team. You will work with your team, customers and suppliers to ensure we are delivering an efficient and high-quality service.

Your Role

The overland manager will be responsible for a determined effort to manage /co-ordinate the Road Logistics Business Unit, financial and operational results. They will foster relationships with customers and suppliers while looking for and acting on continuous improvement opportunities within the department to ensure an efficient, high quality and profitable service.

Your Responsibilities

• Foster and develop good relations with both existing and potential customers to ensure retention and growth.
• Identifying opportunities to increase the profitability of the Overland department by targeting new customers and/or increasing business with existing customers.
• Ensure the Overland Division meets all the legal requirements, statutory obligations, Health, and Safety requirements and adheres to all internal Company policies.
• Liaise with our partners and suppliers to ensure the department is proactive in providing a quality operational performance.
• Monitoring and enforcing Country regulatory compliance with regard to global trading conditions.
• Maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that the department is run efficiently and with professionalism.
• Pro-actively look for and act on continuous improvement opportunities within the department.
• Promote KN positively with customers through the high quality of work, excellent communication, pro-active approach and positive attitude.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Demonstrated experience within freight forwarding operations, ideally within Road Freight, and knowledge of the local market.
• Proven people management and leadership skills, you motivate and develop your team and achieve through your people.
• Customer-orientated and delivers excellence in service every time.
• Experience in maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures.
• A confident communicator who builds trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written communication skills are crucial to the role.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
