A leading Medical Devices company is actively recruiting an Application Specialist to be based in Dubai.

Key aspects of the role include:
- Responsible for pre-installation and onsite services
- Escalating issues to CS Manager
- Making sure that installation and training contracted by customer is delivered on time
- Recording time spent on various tasks during a project
- Emailing or sending scanned Intervention Report (IR) to CS Manager
- Submitting expense report
- Providing feedback to TPS team regarding any important information relevant for future support activities
- Notifying CS Manager regarding kernel and/or driver issues
- Relaying customer feedback gathered during support calls or installations to CS Manager and R&D team
- Remain current with Data Innovations’ Quality Requirements
- Participating in the development of internal documentation supporting the product development
- Providing feedback on end-user documentation
- Completing all compulsory Training Assessments in timely manner
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR 5 years of experience as a medical laboratory technician with experience of administration of laboratory IT systems
- A minimum of three years working experience in information technology, customer support or similar position
- Proficient with MS Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Solid knowledge of computing and technical environments, such as operating systems, communication protocols, software applications, hardware platforms, etc.
- Deep knowledge of computer and network sciences: “RS-232” serial connections, TCP/IP, data communication
- Keep abreast of evolving technology
- Excellent customer interaction, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) in English and French (additional languages are a plus)
- Ability to meet travel obligations
- Ability to handle information sensitively and confidentially
