Forming part of our Regional Operations Leadership Team for Africa and the Middle East, we are looking for a Director to help drive operational excellence across the Middle East. With growing panels across the UAE and Saudi Arabia – we are helping build a complete understanding of shopper behaviour. As such, Kantar Worldpanel Middle East has a fantastic track record having achieved double-digit revenue growth during the past three years consistently. You will be accountable for the smooth running of the day-to-day consumer panel operations across multiple functions with the end objective of delivering high-quality data that is released to clients monthly.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Process Management
- Handle the overall workflow in an efficient manner, ensuring that deadlines are met, and high-quality output is met in a consistent manner.
- Review data output regularly to ensure that our service is continually moving to reflect improvements.
- Regularly report the overall operational status to the local and regional management team, including practical recommendations for change if required.
Budget and Financials
- Overall accountability for all operational budgets and finances across the region.
- Negotiate with existing external suppliers and proactively seek out other prospective suppliers, with the goal of meeting positive budget savings.
Team, People & Self Development
- Conduct and take part in performance management using the Kantar Worldpanel appraisal system.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate SMART objectives for all direct line reports.
- Coach and train line reports and other team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging a culture of learning and development.
- Maintain succession plans for the team, proactively identifying individuals who would benefit from fresh challenges or increased responsibility and helping them find out about suitable opportunities.
Efficiency/ Innovation
- Manage and lead any new operational delivery and practices as sanctioned by the Global and Regional Kantar Worldpanel Operations team.
- Draw from all Kantar Worldpanel operational services available across countries to seek out standard processes, and where possible reference other countries to deliver further improvement and efficiencies.
Key Capabilities
- Proven experience in leading field or data processing preferably in panel operations at the management level, working with large teams coupled with excellent and effective interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of technology-based data pick-up methods & advanced analysis platforms.
- Challenge the status quo to achieve a culture dedicated to continuous improvement and standard processes.
- Strong project planning and leadership skills within operational environments.
- Experience of leading cross-country/regional teams.
- Previous market research/data/insights/ panel management experience would be an added advantage.
