Kanoo Travel is pleased to announce that we are looking to hire a Senior Consultant for our MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions) department in Dubai.

We are looking for an energetic and customer focused MICE Consultant with a proven track record in meetings & event management.

Core Responsibilities:

• Venue Sourcing, negotiation and contracting.
• Logistics and Budget Management – Pre & Post event.
• Onsite Management (as and when required).

Job responsibilities:

• The candidate will mainly be responsible for providing consultative support to our clients.
• Responsible for providing a strategic direction & consultation to the meeting requester to influence a high quality, cost effective meeting project plan.
• Must make recommendations that satisfy meeting specifications and requirements.
• Venue sourcing using client preferred venue program, proposal creation and presentation.
• Venue liaison with the supplier and negotiation with the venue for the best rates and terms and conditions of the client.
• Contract and commission negotiation and finalization with the client.
• Responsible for budget management, project planning, coordination and execution.
• Management of the engagement of third-party suppliers and the DMC.
• Will be required to travel to customer office or on-site locations for liaison of meetings.
• Must delegate management – including the travel arrangements for the guests with concerned departments.
• Responsible for the signage and meeting materials management.
• Must play an active role budget management and reconciliation.
• Online and offline attendee’s registration maintenance and management.
• Cvent data management and documents management throughout the life cycle of the event.
• Responsible for client billing and payments to suppliers.

Skills and qualifications required:

1. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of proven track record and experience in the meetings & event management industry and prior experience in arranging meeting/ events/ exhibitions.

2. A minimum educational requirement of a Bachelors / Master’s degree in Travel & Tourism would be preferred.

3. Must hold a valid UAE driver’s license, as you may be required to go on-site or travel to client office for meetings (as and when required).

4. Prior experience in the GCC would be preferred with local knowledge of MICE industry

5. Candidate must be presentable and have a pleasing personality.

6. Arabic speaking candidates will be preferred for the role.

7. You must have very good negotiation skills.

8. Must have excellent interpersonal relation skills and be very customer focused.
