About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for the Director of Sales and Marketing to join our Pre-opening Team in Bahrain. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- Sets and monitors annual commercial plan goals and sales targets.
- Provides leadership in entrepreneurial sales & marketing activities
- Ensures departmental policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Ensures Jumeirah Brand Standards are adhered to.
- Continuously reviews procedures and processes within the department to achieve maximum profit, productivity and efficiency.
- Continuously reviews product and branding to ensure we are selling creatively and offering a more innovative edge over our competitors.
- Maintains a high standard of personal appearance at all times.
- Liaises with relevant departments to ensure all customer needs and requests are met.
- Maintains effective communication, with regular 1-2-1 and team meetings.
- Identifies and builds productive relationships with business partners.
- Leads the creation of flexible solutions to attract new and potential customers.
- Coaches and is a mentor for the Sales & Marketing team.
- Complies with all regional reporting requirements in the said timeframe.
- Represents the hotel at Road Shows, Trade Shows and management events.
- Conducts site inspections and entertainment for Sales and PR.
- Determines and implements the balance of business mix into the hotel.
- Provides on the job and external training for colleagues in the department as required.
- Maintains a current knowledge of Jumeirah products and services in order to cross sell and assist across the entire company.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- 6 years and above in a Senior Sales position
- Has been in a Leadership role for at least 3 years
- Has Luxury hotel experience in Sales and Marketing
- UAE/Middle East experience preferred
- GCC and leisure experience
- Sales business development experience
- Knowledge of CRM/Opera
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Strong Selling and Negotiation Skills
