Madinat Jumeirah – The Arabian Resort of Dubai is a magnificent tribute to Dubai’s heritage. About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Hospitality / Audit professional to join the Jumeirah Operations Finance team. The role will be based at Madinat Jumeirah Resort and focus on the beach properties. This role will also require ad-hoc assignments to Jumeirah overseas properties and active participation in various corporate initiatives aimed at reinforcing compliance across the hotels.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Schedule, plan and conduct periodic compliance and operational audits of the business units.
• Document results of the evaluations.
• Report and develop recommendations based on the audits to the SBUs’ and Regional Management.
• Identify, recommend, and support implementation of process improvements and standardization across the SBUs.
• Periodically, plan and task relevant Finance personnel to conduct appropriate checks across operational departments to ensure compliance with procedures, revenue recognition and cash takings
• Assess fraud risks across the business units and conduct regular spot checks and report accordingly.
• Actively drive and follow up with SBU’s DOFs on implementation of internal audits findings and recommendations. Ensure outstanding audit points are addressed on a timely basis
• Appraise, train, and develop the Finance team (particularly, Income Audit and Cost Control) to effectively perform their control tasks, including proper use of relevant Jumeirah business applications.
• Support regular training of directives and policies with Finance and relevant colleagues from Operations
• Maintain audit log across SBUs and actively follow up with DOFs to ensure that outstanding audit points are addressed and cleared on a timely basis
• Adhere to format and documentation standards according to Jumeirah Finance directive.
• Ensure that project deliverables are completed on schedule and documented.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationship with external and internal customers.
• Flexibility in hours of work to suit the needs of the operation.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have to be a graduate in Business or Hospitality Industry and hold a formal accountancy qualification with previous financial / operational analysis skills. Preferably to have at least 3 years of experience in a large business operation or in a similar role in a 5* luxury brand with experience in auditing.
