Due to our continued growth in the region Jacobs are hiring a Water Engineer to support across our water projects. You would be involved in a wide variety of engineering tasks on large scale infrastructure projects including detailed engineering and infrastructure master plans.

You should be able to work independently in the design and modelling of water and wastewater network systems. You should have excellent coordination skills and be able to lead teams both in the office and remotely.

We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and who have exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skills. Responsibilities include:

• Undertake designs, modelling, calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, investigations, and bills of quantities for water associated infrastructure
• Design and modelling of water and wastewater network systems and associated pumping stations. The networks include but not limited to transmission, distribution, and main trunk lines
• Develop designs from concept through the detailed design process and then onto final Authority approvals. Develop IFC and provide support to construction team
• Coordinate the delivery of design outputs including the necessary quality assurance checking.
• Liaise with authorities, the client, consultants, contractors and other members of the wider organization
• Review and inspect construction activities and to ensure compliance with designs, drawings and specifications.
• Review and approve documentation, such as shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, etc. as required

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Have proven experience designing wate and wastewater systems
• Have experience in Civil 3D/BIM for infrastructure projects
• Have hands on experience on hydraulic modelling tools & GIS
• Have strong detailed design experience of large size water pipelines, pumping stations and water reservoirs
• Be able to draw and integrate utilities/infrastructure networks
• Be able to undertake clash analysis for utilities independently
• Know and be able to work independently with relevant softwares including, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, WaterCad/Gems, SewerCad/Gems, StormCAD.
• Have the ability to utilize the BIM technology and models in design, construction and commissioning of the related works.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil Engineering)
• Related engineering experience in design & modeling
• Excellent written and oral communications skills (in English)
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required
• Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
• Must be willing to reside in Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates
